We saw this video about Stephon Marbury, he was selling his own shoe and it is cheaper than nike. He made them cheap so other people that dont want to pay $150 for a pair of nikes can afford his shoe. The shoes that he made are cheap but are made of the same materials as nike. People buy nikes because they are in "style" and because they think the shoes are going to make them a better basketball player and make them jump higher. When Marbury released his shoes people bought them because they were cheaper and the shoes were out of stock in a couple of days.
